Introduction to recipe : 

Chicken roll is a yummy delicious recipe which will be many of our favourite one . It made of with maida , wheat flour , chicken , egg and with certain spices . Preparing this recipe at home is not that much challenge for us . Let me help you to prepare the fantabulous chicken roll at home .

Ingredients with measurements :

For dough :
  • Maida - 2 cup
  • Wheat flour - 1 cup
  • Salt 
  • Oil - 1 tablespoon
For chicken stuff :
  • Chicken - 250 g ( boneless ) 
  • Onion - 1 ( big size )
  • Fennel seeds - 1 teaspoon
  • Chilli powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Garam masala - 1 teaspoon
  • Ginger garlic paste - 1 teaspoon
  • Mint 
  • Coriander leaves
  • Salt
  • Oil 
For roll making : 
  • Egg - 4
  • Oil 

Dough preparation :

  • In a mixing bowl add 2 cup of maida , 1 cup of wheat flour , required amount of salt and 1 tablespoon of oil .

  • Mix altogether once . 

  • By adding the water gradually , start to prepare the dough . 

Tip : Don't add water much , then the consistency of dough will be collapsed .

  • You have to knead it atleast for 5 - 10 minutes to get a smooth dough . 

  • It should be smooth out as you knead and slightly tacky to touch . 

  • Rest it for 30 minutes by closing with clean damp cotton cloth . 

  • After 30 minutes , divide the dough into small balls and roll each divided balls  between your palms as a round shape  well without getting cracks .

  • Then , spread each balls evenly and thinly as a large round shape with a rolling pin . 

  • It should be thin and even . 

Tip : it should not be too thin or thick . If it is too thin , while roasting it becomes Crips . If it is thick , it won't cook properly . 

  • Then , flip the entire rolling dough to another side and roll it . 

  •  You have to get a evenly thin rolled dough .

Tip : if it is not even all the sides while spreading , it will be cooked on one side and not on another side .

Chicken stuff preparation :

  • In pan , heat 2-3 tablespoon of oil . To this add 1 teaspoon of fennel seeds .

Tip : Flame should be low . 

  • Then , add 1 finely chopped onion . Saute it well .

Tip : Now turn the flame to medium .

  • Once the onion turned golden brown , add 1 teaspoon of ginger garlic paste and few mint leaves  . 

  • Let it cook for 2 minutes . Then , add the boneless chicken to it and stir once well .

  • Close the cooking pan , for 10 - 15 minutes in a medium flame .

Tip : check whether the chicken is cooked 3/4th .

  • After that , add 1/2 teaspoon of turmeric powder , 1 teaspoon of chilli powder ,1 teaspoon of garam masala and required amount of salt .

Tip : If you want you can adjust the masalas according to your taste . 

  • Once the raw smell of masalas disappear .

  • Check whether the chicken is cooked completely .

  • Add chopped coriander leaves and turn off the flame . 

Our chicken stuff is ready ! 

Chicken roll making : 

  • Heat the roasting pan , and add one rolled dough which you prepared .

  • Spread a teaspoon of oil on the top of the rolled or spreaded dough sheet . 

Tip : the flame should be medium for rest of the process . 

  • After 2 minutes flip it to another side and add one beaten egg on top of it . 

  • After 2 minutes again flip it to another side and cook for 2 minutes .

  • Then , add 2 tablespoon of prepared stuff and roll it .

Tip : the quantity of stuffing is your desire to have . 

Our yummy chicken roll is ready ! 

Health tips : 

Taking chicken is not bad , but you have to choose the right one . It's content of protein helps to strengthen the bones and muscles . It has essential fatty acids , vitamins which is good to add in your balanced diet .
