Samosa is all our favourite delicious snack with a yummy filling inside . From kids to adult all love to enjoy this snack with tomato ketchup . This is made of with maida and other types of flour with potato , onion or chicken or any other meat filling .
Now , we are going to prepare chicken Samosa .

Ingredients :
For dough preparation :
- Maida
- Wheat flour
- Oil
- Ajwain
For chicken stuff :
- Chicken - 250 g ( boneless )
- Onion - 1 ( big size )
- Fennel seeds - 1 teaspoon
- Chilli powder - 1 teaspoon
- Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Garam masala - 1 teaspoon
- Ginger garlic paste - 1 teaspoon
- Mint
- Coriander leaves
- Salt
- Oil
Dough preparation :
- In a bowl mix half a cup of wheat flour and half a cup of maida .
- To this add 1 teaspoon ajwain , required amount of salt and 3 tablespoon of oil .
- Mix altogether well . Then , add water gradually and start to knead .
( Don't add water too much at a same time . Add it gradually and knead )
- Knead for 5-7 minutes to get a perfect dough for samosa .
( You should knead dough without getting cracks on it )
- After kneading , close the dough with damp cotton cloth . It kept close till you prepare the potato stuff to place inside the samosa .
Chicken stuff preparation :
- In pan , heat 2-3 tablespoon of oil . To this add 1 teaspoon of fennel seeds .
Tip : Flame should be low .
- Then , add 1 finely chopped onion . Saute it well .
Tip : Now turn the flame to medium .
- Once the onion turned golden brown , add 1 teaspoon of ginger garlic paste and few mint leaves .
- Let it cook for 2 minutes . Then , add the boneless chicken to it and stir once well .
- Close the cooking pan , for 10 - 15 minutes in a medium flame .
Tip : check whether the chicken is cooked 3/4th .
- After that , add 1/2 teaspoon of turmeric powder , 1 teaspoon of chilli powder ,1 teaspoon of garam masala and required amount of salt .
Tip : If you want you can adjust the masalas according to your taste .
- Once the raw smell of masalas disappear .
- Check whether the chicken is cooked completely .
- Add chopped coriander leaves and turn off the flame .
Our chicken stuff is ready !
Now we will start to prepare samosa :
- Take the dough which you prepared .
- Divide them into 6 parts and start to roll it with a rolling pin.
( It should not be too thin but spread evenly )
- Then , using knife cut them at the centre as two equal sheets .
- And , apply a water with your finger on the straight edge of the sheet .
- Fold the two edges of the straight side of the sheet to make a cone shape .
- Seal the edges of the cone properly in order to secure the stuff which we will be going to place .
- Now , place the chicken stuff inside the cone and cover the opening side of the cone by applying water with the help of your fingers .
- Seal them properly without getting any gaps . If it is not properly covered then the stuff will come out while you fry .
- Now , heat the oil in a cooking pot or wok to have a deep fry .
- Once the oil heated , turn the burner into medium flame and place the samosas you prepared .
( Place 2 samosa at a time in the oil and fry )
- Flip up the samosa to fry both the sides of it .
- Once the samosa turn golden brown take off from the oil .
- Likewise , fry all the samosas and enjoy it with tomato and chilli sauce .
Overview :
- In a mixing bowl , add wheat flour , maida , Ajwain , salt and oil . Knead it well by adding water gradually for 5-7 minutes .
- In a pan add , oil , fennel seeds . Then , chopped onion , chicken and cook for few minutes .
- Then , add chilli powder , garam masala , turmeric powder and salt .
- Saute for 5-7 minutes . Finally add chopped coriander leaves .
- Spread the dough as samosa sheets and fill the chicken stuff and fold in a triangular shape without any gap .
- Fry them as a golden brown and enjoy .
Health tips :
Coriander leaves which we use for garnishing and flavour has many health benefits . Though it has minerals , antioxidants , it is rich in vitamin K . It helps to lower blood sugar level , fight against infection , maintains heart , brain , skin health .
